Plano Monthly Muscle Car Show

This is a wonderful event in Plano that goes on the first Saturday of every month. With categories from antiques to brand-new, there is something here for everyone! Every car enthusiast in town will be there scrutinizing the competition’s rides. They have 20 classes, and give out a 1st and 2nd place trophy in each class, every month. Try to pick out the winners!

Stay past sundown at the zoo, and watch a great concert! This weekend will feature The O’s, a rockin’ new up-and-coming act, who have been touring all over the United States and Europe. The show is FREE with regular zoo admission!

Let’s Play Gaming Expo

The first annual Let’s Play Gaming Expo was inspired by the YouTube “Let’s Play” videos, and was created to celebrate everything that is gaming. There will be over 75 Arcade Cabinets, vendors, modern and retro game tournaments, special guests, and a special Tetris World Championship Qualifier. If you are a casual gamer or completely addicted, you need to check this out!

Plano Country Courtyard Music Series

Dale Watson, a Texas-country singer, who recently was featured on PBS, late night talk shows, NPR, and The Bachelorette, will be playing at the Plano Country Courtyard Music series. A regular in the Austin country music scene, Dale makes for a fun show. Tickets go on sale on the 29th of July.

Brandon Jenkins Rockin’ the River

Grab your friends your dog and some tubes, and get ready for a road trip! The last show of Rockin’ the River is a perfect way to end the summer. Tube down the Trinity River, and listen to a FREE concert, ending with some awesome fireworks! Beer, drinks, and food will be available to buy, things that float will be available to rent, and souvenirs can also be purchased to remember your night (like coozies, t-shirts, and dry pouches). Dragon Boat Festival
Grand Prairie, TX

Watch the dragon boat races at Joe Pool Lake! Local and regional teams will be competing, with a variety of experience and skill levels. You might be inspired to find 20 friends or coworkers and make your own team! If you choose to race, included in your registration is a practice session teaching you how to paddle and race, and practice sessions and race day include all of the necessary equipment (boats, paddles, life preservers, a drum and a steersperson/coach).
