Fall is here and the students are back in town in College Station! As your local moving company, we know sometimes it takes a while to get into the swing of things. Here are our top 10 local events happening in September!

September 3rd to 7th, 2015

Texas Shootout and US Olympic Archery Team Trials

400 archers are registered to compete in the final event of the United States Archery Team Series on Sept. 4-5. The Texas Shootout will be the final chance for U.S. archers to earn points for national ranking. On Sept. 6-7, the top 16 male and female recurve archers will compete in the first nomination shoot for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The U.S. Olympic Team Trials will feature several archery superstars: 2012 Olympic men’s team silver medalists Brady Ellison, Jake Kaminski, and Jacob Wukie; 5-time Olympian and Olympic bronze medalist Khatuna Lorig, who taught Jennifer Lawrence archery for her role in “The Hunger Games”; and Texas A&M graduate and Olympic silver medalist Victor Wunderle.

First Friday

First Friday is a monthly event held on the first Friday of each month. First Friday was established in 2005 to showcase a revitalized Downtown Bryan and provide exposure for the merchants. Artists, musicians and non-profits are accepted with careful review. No selling is allowed on sidewalks. Political activities or solicitations are not allowed during First Friday. First Friday is a FREE event open to the public.

Peach Creek Vineyards are celebrating the grand opening of their new tasting room at their Labor Day Weekend Party! Live music provided by Mitch Marcoulier from 5 to 8 p.m.  Mitch Marcoulier has spent most of his life in and around music. He grew up in New Hampshire playing in bands, or touring with Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Pat Metheny Group, and a host of others as their audio tech/keyboard tech/sound designer. Then he worked in the LA music/film/TV industry for 20+ years writing and recording/producing songs in my studio for himself and other artists, as well as movie soundtracks. But he has always enjoyed performing live music the most! There will be a $5 cover charge for the music. Chicken spaghetti and garlic bread will be available for purchase starting at 5 while supplies last.
